Mikie Spillett

Mikie was born in Vancouver and raised on a 800 acre ranch in the Cariboo on Crystal Lake.

A working ranch, down home country girl who sang for family and friends from the age of 5 years old and never stopped. She sang near the waterfall at the end of the ranch to hear herself echo and made up campfire songs and poems all her life.

She was 1977 High School Rodeo Queen for 100 Mile House and sang in the Community Choir and then with a band called Chuck Rollins and the Hills Angels and their band rocked it out at the Lac La Hache Country Music Festival. At the Hills Health and Fitness ranch she sang in the teepee after many a sleigh or hayride with guests by the  campfire drinking hot chocolate.

Moving to the Okanagan in the late 90's Mikie fell in love with the climate, after raising two children she decided it was HER time to shine musically and has never looked back. She sang with many local artists and bands from Penticton to Kelowna and then went out on her own . In 2003 she was asked to sing in the Country Music Talent Showcase in Alberta, fans showed up in photo tee shirts in support of her and she brought the house down.

In 2004 she placed second in the female division of Okanagan Starsearch and is on their album that was for sale in Walmart. Also that year, she went to the CCMAs and got autographs of her favourite country artists, saying, I'll see ya up here one day!!! In 2006 she sang at the Calgary Stampede Parade for 40,000 people on a float .

She won Okanagan Idol and sang her way into the studio. She cut her first CD of originals in 2007 at the Master Factory Studio.

She entertained on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway for 13 years as Saloon Girl Kate Kincaid.

In 2010 she was asked to represent her town at the 2010 Olympics in Richmond which she did so proudly. She sang at wineries , Art Festivals, Wine Festivals, Weddings, Music in the Park (Oliver Osoyoos), the Wild West Fest etc. In 2012  she sang in Chelem Mexico and Progresso Mexico.

Singing and writing songs is her passion and she has been blessed to have met Ken to complete her and bringing out the best in all she can be!  Their band Wined it Up was also been great fun at festivals and events and music keeps her soul alive!

Ken Repkow Rockstar at heart

Ken Repkow moved to Osoyoos, BC in 2006. He opened a recording studio at that time and worked on numerous recording and video post-production projects.

Ken and Osoyoos local Frank Zandvliet from the Pyromaniacs team up every year to work on one of the largest fireworks displays in Canada. He composes, arranges and uses local talents on the soundtrack that is timed perfectly to the fireworks.

The Master Factory Studio was a welcomed addition to the South Okanagan.

Ken has played guitar since the age of 9 and was addicted to it immediately.  He was signed to a 2 album deal with DMT Records and Royalty Records in Edmonton. Kens music was released nationally across Canada, his band HIGH PARK was play listed with radio stations and CDs were sold in major retail stores such as HMV and Sam the Record Man. He has opened for  some  great Canadian bands such as April Wine, Harlequin, Cheap Trick, Trooper and numerous others.

Ken currently plays lead guitar and sings vocals for Rebel Luv the South Okanagan original duet and when he met the love of his life, whom he recorded in 2007, it was a natural progression to pursue their dreams and talents together. To Rebel Luv, friends, family, fans and charities make the world a better place though music and the love of it.

Ken can rock it out with the best of them or write a lullaby, his talents and patience allow him to create  something from nothing and his ability to relate to an audience have always been so important to him.
