Mikie was born in Vancouver and raised on a 800 acre ranch in the Cariboo on Crystal Lake.

A working ranch, down home country girl who sang for family and friends from the age of 5 years old and never stopped. She sang near the waterfall at the end of the ranch to hear herself echo and made up campfire songs and poems all her life. She was 1977 High School Rodeo Queen for 100 Mile House and sang in the Community Choir and then with a band called Chuck Rollins and the Hills Angels and their band rocked it out at the Lac La Hache Country Music Festival. At the Hills Health and Fitness ranch she sang in the teepee after many a sleigh or hayride with guests by the campfire drinking hot chocolate. She Recorded this in 2007 and is still requested at Rebel Luv shows to this day.
